Several people have commented either here on the blog or to me in person that they are becoming impatient to hear and or see exactly what uencounter.me is and how it works. Honestly, no one is more impatient than the founding team. The closer we get, the harder it becomes to stay the course and finish the details that will make the user experience more enjoyable.  As we are able to login and see the site in the ways that we hope you will, we are developing a really strong sense of excitement and anticipation! We can’t wait to share it and receive feedback! It won’t be much longer – just connecting the dots at this point; crossing a few t’s and dotting a few i’s .

I’ve stated several times that our vision for the site has expanded and developed tremendously out of the first idea. I consider this a real positive! I’ve shared with you that there is a built in feature, which we believe, has the ability to initiate social change. Imagine starting your day with a cup of coffee, reading messages of gratitude and forgiveness that are shared publicly. Imagine how your day may be impacted if you start by reflecting on a positive encounter you’ve experienced in the past.  Imagine the feeling you will have when you start your day out by thanking someone for influencing your life. Imagine how they will begin the day when they realize they are so appreciated!

We expect that a percentage of the population will check in each day and feed on the positivity we anticipate creating. This site doesn’t focus on what you are doing or where you are going. Its focus is on the PEOPLE you have encountered in your life – at any given point in time. Where have you been, what have you done, and WHO made it good? When we focus on good…. We experience good.  Sometimes, good takes time… thanks for being patient with us!

What our lovely readers have said about it:

  1. Mary Conner says:

Sounds like a very cool idea. I like it! Mary

  2. Good does take time…

  3. Sherry says:

It will be nice to have a place to appreciate others and how they have made a difference in your life or the lives of others.
Found this quote…thought you might like it. “I keep the telephoneof my mind open to peace, harmony, health, love and abundance. Then whenever doubt, anxiety, or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal and soon they’ll forget my number.” Edith Armstrong

  4. Denise says:

I love the idea of this adventure. All things happen as and when they need to and I am pleasantly surprised with every post of the vision you are carrying in your collective minds. THIS is the kind of thing this world needs… reminders that there is good all around us, but in order for us to truly “see” it takes daily (sometimes minute to minute) practice… thank you for paying it forward for me to do so!!
